Natural Remedies for a Healthy and Glowing Skin

The skin should be termed as the most valuable outer organ in the body because it is not just the largest; it is an organ that projects beauty and gives presence to the body. It is quite unimaginable to have a body without that beautiful layer called skin covering it. So why not take care of it?

Here are a few natural remedies for a healthy skin:

  1. Coconut Oil

This is a great solution for a super soft and shiny skin. Coconut oil is a natural moisturizer and contains numerous anti-aging components. It protects your skin from toxins and removes dirt clogging to the skin. A few drops of coconut oil twice a day would do the magic. Also, do you know that coconut oil can be used to wipe off makeup? You should try this out.

  1. Aloe Vera

For those who suffer from severe cases of acne and sunburns, here is a solution for you. Aloe vera is highly medicinal for the body and amazing for the skin. It gives your body a cool feeling and soothes irritation on the skin because it contains antioxidants and vitamins. You could make an aloe vera juice to drink or extract the aloe vera gel and apply directly on your body. Really great for the skin.

  1. Eat Healthy Fats

There absolutely are healthy fats! Fish oil and Salmon contain healthy fats. Soyabean, avocados, nuts and eggs contain fatty properties that are very good for the skin. Avoid unhealthy fats like junk, excess butter and fried foods. They could cause severe breakouts and acne on the face. In the long run, they could lead to severe heart problems.

  1. Honey

Research shows that honey is not just great in taste but also effective for a bright and glassy skin. It also fights against skin conditions and infections. Applying honey everyday on the skin leaves the skin soft and supple. Honey also contains healing and anti aging effects. If you have burns on your skin, apply honey to the affected area twice a day. It is suitable for any type of skin.

  1. Lemon

Lemon juice is a natural skin brightener.  It is really acidic in nature and is really good for oily skin. It reduces too much oil and makes the skin less prone to inflammation and harmful bacteria. However before using lemon juice on your skin, you should conduct a patch test especially if you have a very sensitive skin. A patch test means applying lemon juice on a part of your skin for about two to three days. This has to be done so that you are sure that your skin does not react to lemon due to the high pH content present in lemon. A homemade scrub of lemon and honey would be a great combination. Apply on your skin thoroughly and wash off after fifteen minutes.

  1. Turmeric

If you want a consistent and admirable glow, then you can bank on tumeric. It has powerful antiinflammatory components that can fade scars and give a uniform tone to the skin. You could blend some tumeric and apply on your skin for about 15 minutes and then wash off immediately. Do this twice a day for better  results.

In conclusion, your skin has to be well fed and nurtured. It is an important part of your body and should be treated as such. Also, understand your skin type and the most suitable remedy for your skin. Remember to conduct a patch test for new remedies you would love to try out.

In all, a perfect skin is highly achievable. Pamper your skin today.
